Our mission
AccountingStack exists to give UK accountants, bookkeepers, limited company directors, freelancers, and sole traders access to clear, up-to-date, and genuinely useful information about accounting, tax, and software.

Editorial standards
All guides on AccountingStack are written and reviewed by people with relevant accounting, tax, or industry experience. We update our content after every Budget, Spring Statement, and significant HMRC announcement.
We never allow commercial relationships to influence editorial content. Our software reviews reflect genuine assessments based on testing, user feedback, and published pricing. We do not accept payments for favourable coverage.
Where information is time-sensitive, we include the tax year to which it applies and a last-reviewed date. We recommend always verifying critical figures with HMRC or a qualified accountant before making financial decisions.
How we make money
AccountingStack is free to use. We earn revenue in the following ways:
- Affiliate commissions — when you purchase accounting software via a link on our site, we may receive a commission from the software provider. This does not affect the price you pay. We disclose affiliate relationships with the label "sponsored" or "affiliate link".
- Display advertising — we display relevant advertising on some pages.
- Directory listings — accounting firms can pay to list in our Find an Accountant directory.
Our affiliate relationships do not influence which products we recommend or how we rate them. A product that pays a higher commission does not get a better review score.
